We had two international Bentley colleagues here to provide us with information on various topics.

Susanne Trierscheid – VP, Modeling and Facilities Engineering

Matt Felton – Senior Manager, Product Management – MicroStation & PowerPlatform – Matt manages the team of MicroStation Product Managers and product manages our MicroStation efforts with iTwin.

And our local
Stuart Milne, Product Manager – Stuart looks after a number of features in MicroStation, including Automation, so given the recent release of Python and the ongoing Automation efforts we can focus there.

The MicroStation Team has been excited to announce the release of Advanced Automation, Geospatial, and Collaboration workflows. These cutting-edge additions are set to revolutionize the way you interact with and manage your projects.

Python scripting is now integrated into MicroStation, users can now leverage the most popular scripting language, with access to vast resources and extensive libraries, which is set to give users a host of new Automation opportunities.

By integrating enhanced Geospatial tools, MicroStation now provides enhanced spatial data analysis, visualization, supporting more informed decisions and accurate projects.

New Collaboration features improve communication and coordination among team members, whether local or remote. Synchronization ensures data remains consistent and up-to-date across platforms, reducing errors and enhancing project integrity.

We had the MicroStation Product Management team explore these exciting new features and discover how they can transform your workflows. In addition, there was an interactive workshop where users could help drive the future of MicroStation.

26th June 2024 BUGVA Event at GHD

Topics were Walk & Fly throughs using models and point cloud information by Sabastian Thompson from Jacobs, GHDs uses of OpenRoads & OpenRail by Kaedin MacKay from GHD, & an update on reality mesh functions and uses by Mehdi Boroumand.

December 2023 Event at WSP – Department of Transport & Planning (DTP) New Standards

We had some very interesting discussions around the new DTP CAD Standards, and so we can provide information to you we have created a new page dedicated to CAD Standards to post all our CAD Standards related information. At this point we only have information on DTP Standards but will include others as it becomes available.
